What's It Going To Cost?
PVD coatings are applied in a vacuum chamber at about 800°F, as such, there is some technical expertise involved, especially if you want it done right.
That said, coatings typically cost
5 - 10 % of what the tool costs, although other factors come into play. Some of the factors we cosider when establishing prices are:
- Type of Coating
- Quantity of Parts
- How many parts we can coat in a batch
- Cleaning / Tool Prep requirements
- Fixturing and Masking requirements
