Surface Solutions has been in business for over 16 years depositing high-performance vacuum coatings on our customer's tools. Its founders, Clark Bergman and Mike Schultz, have over 60 years of combined experience offering cathodic-arc PVD coatings.
Our shop, located in the Minneapolis suburb of Fridley, occupies about 12,000 square feet. Although much of our business is local in nature, we coat parts from all over the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Our primary line of business is coating parts (tools and wear parts) with PVD coatings produced via a cathodic-arc vacuum coating process. In conjunction with our coating process, we offer the following processes:
- Surface prep and polishing
- Tumbling
- Glass bead blasting
- Sand blasting
- Stripping (removal) of coatings*
- Electroless nickel plating*
