Industries We Serve · Firearm Finishing

Hard, low-friction, corrosion-resistant PVD finishes for firearm components.

Slides, barrels, bolts, triggers, and small parts. A PVD film that stays put, resists wear, and holds its color under real-world use.

Why PVD for Firearms

Three things a firearm finish has to do at once.

Firearm components need a coating that's harder than the wear surface, low-friction under sliding contact, and corrosion-resistant against sweat, humidity, and cleaning solvents. PVD delivers all three in one 2–5 micron layer.

Hard-wearing

PVD coatings are significantly harder than tool steel. Slides, barrels, and bolts stay in-spec longer under repeated cycling.

Low-friction sliding

A smoother PVD surface means a smoother action — less wear on mating parts and less lubricant needed to keep it running.

Corrosion-resistant

PVD films dramatically improve corrosion resistance on tool steels, keeping firearm components looking factory-fresh through years of hard use.

Compliance

ITAR / EAR export-controlled work

Firearm components can fall under U.S. export controls (ITAR — International Traffic in Arms Regulations, or EAR — Export Administration Regulations). If your parts are export-controlled, tell us up front on the quote request: we handle documentation and shipping for controlled work only within the U.S., and we do not accept jobs that would require an export license we don't hold. Any regulatory determination is the customer's responsibility — we'll confirm what we can accept before you ship.
